Vers uit de Tuin is het nieuwe online deelplatform van de gemeente Utrecht, Culemborg en Stichtse Vecht. Via de website kunnen bewoners verse groente en fruit ophalen bij moestuinen in de buurt. De verse oogst wordt aangeboden door moestuinders die iets over hebben of het gewoon leuk vinden om te delen. Het resultaat: gezonde voeding, minder verspilling en leuke ontmoetingen tussen bewoners.
In Nederland zijn veel mensen actief in een moestuin. Deze moestuinders verbouwen het jaar rond met veel liefde hun eigen groente en fruit. En dan ineens, tijdens oogsttijd – de periode verschilt per type groente – zitten ze met een enorme berg courgettes, komkommers, wortelen, pompoenen, bramen of wat ze dan ook verbouwen. Vaak te veel om zelf te consumeren.

Voedsel delen met de buurt
Via Vers uit de Tuin hebben moestuinders de mogelijkheid om hun vers geteelde groente en fruit te delen met bewoners in de gemeente. Ze bieden het aan tegen een kleine vergoeding, gratis of in ruil voor iets anders, dat mogen ze zelf bepalen. Via de contact-knop laten buurtbewoners weten interesse te hebben. Even langsfietsen en ze hebben die avond ingrediënten voor een gezonde maaltijd.
De moestuinders van Vers uit de Tuin
De eerste moestuinders hebben zich al gemeld. Zij kunnen een profiel aanmaken, ook als ze nog geen oogst over hebben. Norine Maniran: “Ik heb een moestuin met wat oude pruimen- en appelbomen. Daar komen heerlijke vruchten van af, maar juist tijdens de pruimenoogst zijn we vaak op vakantie. Daarom deel ik de vruchten met vrienden en familie. Via Vers uit de Tuin kan ik ze nu ook delen met mensen in de buurt.”
Kim Nelissen: “Superleuk initiatief! Ik heb een stadsmoestuin in Utrecht en leer steeds efficiënter te moestuinieren. Als ik iets overhoud kan ik het nu delen met mensen in de buurt. Wie weet worden ze zelf dan ook wel enthousiast over het telen van hun eigen groenten. Maar eerst maar eens alles laten groeien.”

Je kunt het hele jaar door het aanbod bekijken op versuitdetuin.nl en ook volgen via Facebook. Moestuinders met interessant aanbod kan je volgen, zodat je een bericht ontvangt als ze nieuwe oogst aanbieden. Monique Boere, een van de initiatiefnemers: “In mei verwachten we de eerste oogst. We krijgen nu al super enthousiaste reacties van moestuinders. Zij merken hoe blij buurtgenoten worden van een vers kropje sla of een zak pruimen uit hun tuin. Delen maakt mensen blij.”

Eerste gemeenten
Mede dankzij Utrecht Natuurlijk, Duurzame Vecht en gemeente Culemborg wordt Vers uit de Tuin vanaf vandaag aangeboden aan alle inwoners van de gemeente Utrecht, Stichtse Vecht en Culemborg. Later dit jaar verschijnt Vers uit de Tuin ook in andere gemeenten. Initiatiefnemers van Vers uit de Tuin zijn Monique Boere, Hadewich Hoekstra en Gerdien Dijkstra.
